Best wedding doughnuts in London
You’ve sorted the venue, the flowers, the music. Then someone asks about dessert and the answer is usually the same — a cake that gets cut, photographed, and half-eaten.
Your guests deserve better than that. So do you.
Bombolone’s Italian wedding doughnuts are made from scratch the morning of your wedding — Italian brioche-style dough, filled by hand with Italian pistachio cream, crema pasticcera. Callebaut chocolate, and seasonal fillings, finished to your colour theme, and delivered fresh to your venue. Not ring doughnuts. Not frozen pastry. The real thing, made the day your guests eat it.

What We Offer for Your Wedding
WEDDING DOUGHNUT TOWER
The centrepiece. A tower of handmade Italian doughnuts as a wedding cake alternative — designed to your colours and delivered fresh the morning of your wedding. We recommend 2 party size doughnuts per guest. Tell us your guest numbers and we’ll advise on how many towers you need.
DOUGHNUT FAVOUR BOXES
A box of fresh Italian doughnuts per guest or per table. Colour-matched to your wedding theme — gold, silver, white, pink, or any colour you have in mind — finished with edible toppers, sprinkles, or flowers. The favour nobody leaves on the table.
TIRAMISU CANAPÉS
Our tiramisu canapés — classic or pistachio — served in our signature can for drinks receptions or dessert tables. Elegant, unexpected, and genuinely Italian.

Custom Design for Your Wedding
Every Bombolone wedding order is designed around your day.
Tell us your wedding colours and we’ll match them — gold, silver, white, pink, or anything on your mood board. Decorative options include edible flowers, sprinkles, chocolate drizzle lines, and white chocolate finishes. For personalisation, we create edible toppers with your names, initials, or a message for your guests.
We pre-agree all details before your wedding. Short notice orders are accepted — a few days is usually enough. We do not take same-day orders for wedding doughnuts.
Why Couples Choose Bombolone
Every doughnut is made from scratch the morning of your wedding at our Whitcomb Street bakery. Italian brioche-style dough, proved until it reaches the right texture, filled by hand with Italian pistachio cream, crema pasticcera made with real vanilla pods, Callebaut dark chocolate, and lemon curd with in-house Italian meringue.
Guests go back for seconds. Tables empty faster than expected. People take photos before they eat them.
Rated #1 bakery in London on TripAdvisor within the first month of opening. Not by us — by the people who walked in off Whitcomb Street and wanted to tell someone about it.

FAQ
How far in advance do I need to book?
Short notice orders are accepted — a few days is usually enough for most wedding doughnut orders. We do not take same-day orders. Get in touch and we’ll confirm availability for your date.
Do you deliver to wedding venues?
Yes — we deliver to your venue. Include the address when you get in touch and we’ll confirm delivery arrangements.
Can you match our wedding colours?
Yes — we design every order to your wedding colour theme: gold, silver, white, pink, or any colour you have in mind. Decorative options include edible flowers, sprinkles, chocolate drizzle lines, and white chocolate finishes. Personalised edible toppers with names, initials, or a message are available too. We pre-agree all design details before your wedding.
Can we add tiramisu to the order?
Yes — our tiramisu canapés, classic or pistachio, can be added to any wedding order for a drinks reception or dessert table. Mention it when you enquire and we’ll include it in the proposal.
Are the doughnuts suitable for guests with dietary requirements?
All doughnuts contain milk, gluten, eggs, soy, lupin seeds, sulphites, and mustard. Rich and creamy flavours also contain tree nuts and peanuts. Please see our full allergen information before ordering.
What is a Bombolone?
A Bombolone is a traditional Italian filled doughnut — made with Italian brioche-style dough, deep-fried until golden, and filled generously by hand with cream or custard. Lighter and richer than a standard ring doughnut. Made from scratch every morning at our Whitcomb Street bakery in Central London.
Can I see examples of previous wedding orders?
Get in touch and we’ll share examples of previous designs — colour themes, custom toppers, and flavour combinations we’ve done for other couples.
Are doughnuts better than a wedding cake?
For most couples who’ve ordered Bombolone for their wedding — yes. A wedding cake gets cut, photographed, and half-eaten. Our Italian brioche-style doughnuts are made fresh the morning of your wedding, filled by hand with real ingredients, and designed to your colours. Guests go back for seconds. Tables empty faster than expected. And unlike a traditional wedding cake, every single one gets eaten. Whether you replace the cake entirely or offer doughnuts alongside it is entirely your call — but we’ve never had a couple tell us they wished they’d ordered more cake.
How long do the doughnuts stay fresh?
Bombolone doughnuts are made from Italian brioche-style dough the morning of your wedding — not the night before, not two days ahead. Italian brioche holds its texture significantly better than standard cake doughnut dough. We recommend serving them within a few hours of delivery and time the delivery to your reception accordingly. Your venue coordinator can keep them covered until the dessert moment.
Can we have doughnuts alongside a traditional wedding cake?
Absolutely — many couples do both. A small cake for the cutting ceremony and tradition, and a Bombolone doughnut tower or favour boxes for guests to actually eat. It’s one of the most popular combinations we do. Tell us at enquiry stage and we’ll advise on quantities.
How much do wedding doughnuts cost?
Bombolone party size doughnuts start from £3.00 each. For a wedding of 50 guests, we recommend 100 party size doughnuts — that’s from £350. Custom design — colour-matched glazes, edible flowers, personalised toppers with names or initials — is priced separately depending on the detail of your brief. We include full pricing in your proposal within 24 hours of your enquiry. Get in touch with your guest numbers and we’ll give you an accurate quote for your wedding.
Do you offer doughnuts for Italian-themed weddings?
Bombolone was born from an obsession with Italian food — our founders discovered the original bombolone while travelling through Tuscany. If you’re planning an Italian-themed wedding or simply love Italian food, our handmade brioche-style doughnuts with Italian pistachio cream, crema pasticcera, and Italian mascarpone tiramisu are a genuinely authentic choice. The tiramisu canapés are particularly popular for Italian wedding receptions.
What if some guests aren't doughnut fans?
Most of them change their minds. Bombolone doughnuts are not what people expect — Italian brioche-style dough is lighter and richer than a standard doughnut. The fillings are made with real Italian ingredients: actual vanilla pods, Italian pistachio cream, Callebaut chocolate. We regularly hear from couples that guests who said they don’t really like doughnuts ended up asking for seconds. The flavour profile is closer to a fine Italian pastry than a supermarket doughnut.
